Training
Very often working at height is a necessity within the workplace, but last year 45 workers died and 3750 were seriously injured following a fall from height.
Ladder training plays a vital role in reducing falls from height and compliance with The Work at Height Regulations.
The Work at Height Regulations (WAHR) 2005 specify that employers have a duty to ensure that employees involved in work at height are competent.
Working at height is defined as work in any place including a place at above or below ground level where a person could be injured if they fell from that place.
Failure to comply with the WAHR could result in worker injuries or even deaths, prosecution by the Health & Safety Executive, prosecution for corporate manslaughter as well as heavy fines or even closure of the business. And the number of cases of employees successfully suing employers as a consequence of insufficient training are on the increase.
